2009–2010
Associated Newspapers
Supported the migration of four large dating websites from a UK ColdFusion and Microsoft SQL Server platform to a PHP and MySQL platform in Ukraine.
Media | Research | Automotive | Retail | Marketplaces
Five distinct assignments show practical delivery across migrations, search and data tagging, CRM journeys, ecosystem upgrades, REST APIs, syndicated feeds, and B2B applications.
Context
This grouped case study covers Associated Newspapers, Which?, Manheim, Zonal Retail Data Systems, and eBay / Motors Group UK between 2009 and 2022.
The organisations and responsibilities remain distinct. They are grouped here to show breadth across customer-facing and internal commercial platforms, not to imply one continuous programme.
Challenge
Commercial systems often need fast-paced enhancement and careful change across established platforms. Each assignment required a practical response to its own migration, search, data, customer-journey, integration, or application-support need.

Outcome
Together, the assignments demonstrate practical contribution across migrations, user journeys, search, data management, APIs, feeds, upgrades, and application support while retaining the distinctions between organisations and outcomes.
