Context
From 2011 to 2017, GE work covered global VAT, GST, corporate-tax, and tax-metrics applications built across Java, ColdFusion, JavaScript, CSS, ColdBox, and Oracle. The published GE systems were used across more than 180 countries.
From 2017 to 2018, separate PwC assignments covered senior software development and solution architecture across established Java, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and Oracle tax applications.
Challenge
These environments required dependable delivery across established stacks, careful integration thinking, and enough domain understanding to improve important systems without exposing confidential tax logic.
The work also demanded continuity across Agile Kanban and Scrum teams, changing responsibilities, and applications whose value depended on specialist business rules.
